Surprinsingly different of the usual recipes' book, "French products and their
recipes" mixes litterature and gastronomy. A big part of the book has been
written as a poem, an amusing way to learn on the history and origins of many
food products. A traditional and a modern recipe is given for each product.

Véronique André, the writter, is a gastronomic reviewer for weekly French
magazines "Le Madame Figaro" and "Valeurs Actuelles". To write on gourmet
cuisine, she is travelling all around the world and she seats at the most famous
tables as well as the secretly keeped ones. She knows the mouth watering
products and she presents them to you on paper throughout "French products
and their recipes" !
What a good association of this fine food columnist and the world famous french chefs, Jacques & Laurent Pourcel, listed 2 stars at the Guide Michelin. They are travellers, the Pourcel's brothers, so if their gastronomic restaurant of Montpellier "Le Jardin des Sens" is their prestigious brand name, the other 17 restaurants (8 in France) offer a delightful Mediterrannean and Asian syle cuisine.
The 3 of them share the same passion about fine food. Complimentary, associates and friends, they are maintaining the same highest standards of gourmet cuisine and mouth watering fine food. In "French products and their recipes", each of them showcase their knowledges to point up the "product".

Goldfingers!
J&L Pourcel, along with 26 other starred chefs, pastry makers and best craftsmen in France gave their hand to Jean Pyrka. They actually gave their handprints to the artist who covered them with a gold mosaic. An amazing project, for a charity dedicated to raise funds for sick or mistreated children, during an auction sale that will take place at the end of the next Festival des Etoiles de Mougins, from September 10th to 12th.

French TV channel France 5 takes the plunge into cooking with Cuisinez le chef, a new Internet-show that will enable Internet users to cook their recipe for a great chef. Thierry Marx (judge on TV show Top Chef, molecular cuisine), Christophe Michalak (world champion of pastry making), the Pourcel brothers (poets of the five senses) and Marc Haeberlin (three stars) agreed to give away their haute gastronomy secrets.
In order to participate, Internet users are asked to send their personal recipe, with a video and/or a picture, from October on, on www.france5.fr/cuisinez-le-chef
French TV channel France 3 journalists, who were captured on December 29th, 2009, are still held hostages. One of them has all his family in the area of Montpellier.
